Obituary for James Ronald "Ronny" Cruce

James Ronald “Ronny” Cruce, 79, of McGehee, AR passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022. He was born in Monticello, AR on September 16, 1942 to the late Willis Cruce and Marie Jordan Cruce. Ronny served in the United States Army National Guard for 29 years. He worked for the United States Department of Agriculture for 54 years. Ronny loved hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. He enjoyed telling stories and joking around. Ronny was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in McGehee, AR.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jim Brown. Survivors include his wife, Paula Elizabeth Cruce of McGehee, AR; sons, Bryan (Dehra) Cruce of McGehee, AR and Sam Brown of Little Rock, AR; daughters, Jane Marie (Tim) Sirmon of McGehee, AR and Robin Cox of Little Elm, TX; sister, Bonnie Dillman of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Dalton Sirmon, Joshua Cruce, Monica Cruce, Chandler Gill, Kize Gill, Lynnley Wells, Parker Wells, Halie Steadman, Kael Brown and Ethan Brown.
Visitation will be held at 5-7pm Friday, February 4, 2022 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. A memorial graveside service will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Warrington Cemetery in McArthur, AR with Rev. Rick Miller officiating.
