Bobby Dale Westmoreland, 67, of Arkansas City, Arkansas passed away Thursday, March 31, 2022. He was born February 22, 1955 in Lambert, Mississippi to the late Clarence Westmoreland and Beatrice Bailey Westmoreland. Bobby worked most of his adult life on the Riverboat. He enjoyed mud riding, hunting, fishing and he loved country music. Bobby was a member of First United Methodist Church in Arkansas City.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Switzer and Maxine Hutchinson and his brother, Jackie Mullis. Survivors include his sons, Dakota Fryar of Dumas, AR, Steven Westmoreland of Tillar, AR, Bobby Dale Westmoreland, Jr. of Tillar, AR, David Westmoreland of Ore, TX, J.D. Westmoreland of Ore, TX; daughters, Jennifer Burris of Hamburg, AR, Leslie Hornaday of McGehee, AR and Michelle Reeves of Biloxi, MS; brothers, Jim Bailey of Vicksburg, MS, Mike Bailey of Itta Bena, MS and Robert Westmoreland of Arkansas City, AR; sisters, Barbara Upchurch of MS, Carol Laird of MS and Jeanette Johnson; 13 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at 1:00-2:00pm Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. Funeral service will follow at 2:00pm at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jason Martin officiating. Burial will be held at Tillar Cemetery.
