Rosevelt Pratt Williams, 92, of McGehee, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at his home. He was born October 14, 1929 in Dumas, Arkansas to the late Rosevelt Williams and Dovie Goodson Williams. Rosevelt worked in the oil fields in Texas. He worked 37 years for McGehee Grain – Riceland’s Foods. Rosevelt was a Deacon of McGehee Christian Center.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Melba Williams and four brothers, John Williams, Billy Williams, Ronnie Williams and Rueben Williams and one sister, Emma Carter. He is survived by sons, David Pratt Williams of McGehee, AR and Larry Joe Williams of Baxter, AR; daughters, Shirley Williams Overton of Tillar, AR and Guyla (Wayne) Burks of Dermott, AR; one brother Ricky (Judy) Williams of Fayetteville, AR; sisters-in-law, Juanita Williams of Monticello, AR and Nita Mann of Eudora, AR; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, May 7, 2022 at McGehee Christian Center in McGehee, AR with Rev. Jason Martin officiating.
