Johnnie Lee Williamson Wright Gatlin, 86, passed away Monday, May 23, 2022, in McGehee, AR. She was born December 19, 1935. She delighted in cooking for her family- this brought her tremendous joy. Additionally, Johnnie loved spending time with her family where they told funny stories and laughed about childhood memories. Also, important for her, she valued her church as well as the church members. Johnnie was a member of First Assembly of God Church in McGehee.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Roger Wright, Sr. and her sister, Lois Goree whom she cherished. Survivors include her husband, of 38 years James Gatlin of McGehee, AR; son, Roger Louis Wright, Jr. and Beverly of Greenwood, MS; daughters, Lesa Ellis and husband Matt, and Vicki Glover and husband David of McGehee, AR. She also had 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at First Assembly of God Church in McGehee, AR. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am at the church where Rev. Jason Martin will be officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday with Rev. Tony Proctor officiating at County Line Cemetery in Glen Alan, MS. Pallbearers include: James Gatlin, Jr, Asa Gatlin, Roger Louis Wright III, James Bradley Wright, Jr., Josh Webb and Braden Dunn.
