Obituary for Barbara Jean Barham

Barbara Jean Barham, 66, of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away Monday, July 4, 2022. Barbara was born on September 20, 1955 in Prescott, Arkansas to the late Delmer Dee Cummings and Margie Lee Purtle Cummings. She was purely devoted to her two daughters and her six grandchildren. Barbara had a servant’s heart and never missed an opportunity to help anyone in need. She never met a stranger and was always quick to offer her smile and her big “ole” hug. Barbara attended New Life Church in Hot Springs, AR.
Other than her father, she was preceded in death by her son, Russell Elliot Peacock; nephew, Josh Cummings and her brother, Steve Cummings. Survivors include her mother, Margie Cummings of McGehee, AR; daughters, Amy Barham (Vernon) Higgins of Hot Springs, AR and Kinsey Barham (Tim) Hood of Hot Springs, AR; brothers, Freddie (Pam) Cummings of McGehee, AR and Mark (Carol) Cummings of McGehee, AR; 6 grandchildren, Devin (Lauren) Higgins, Destin (Savanna) Higgins, Daniel Higgins, Deeken Higgins, Savannah Hood and Jack Steven Hood and a host of nieces and one nephew.
A visitation will be held at 5:00-7:00pm Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Antioch Baptist Church in McGehee, AR with Dr. Stan Ballard and Rev. Lukas Burk officiating. Burial will be held at McGehee Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Allen Cummings, Jr., Andrew Cox, Travis Caudell, Ric Guzman, Brian Irons, Nathan Purtle, Gaylan Gilbert and Donnie Ray Purdy.
