Ernest Ray Nelson, 78, of Arkansas City, AR, passed away October 22, 2022 at Chi St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, AR. Ernest was born in Pine Bluff, AR on December 27, 1943 to the late Walter John and Mary Lillian Ratcliff Nelson. He was a U. S. Army veteran and a retired truck driver. He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and fishing. He also enjoyed music, especially Elvis Presley.
Survivors include his wife Margie Nelson; son, James “Jimmy” (Amelia) Nelson of Pine Bluff, AR; daughters, Savannah Langley of Arkansas City, AR, Lisa (Jimbo) Wrinkle of Pine Bluff, AR, Judy (Dewayne) Blundell of Star City, AR; step-daughter, Roxie Beliew of Arkansas City, AR; sister, Ann Nelson of Pine Bluff, AR; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 18 step-grandchildren and 18 step-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR with Rev. Vincent Henry officiating. Online guest book may be signed at www.griffinculpepper.com
