James Shaun Perry, 64, of Searcy, Arkansas, passed away November 16, 2022. Shaun was born July 10, 1958 in Dermott, Arkansas to the late James Owen Perry and Mary Maude Compton Perry. Shaun was a sergeant for Searcy Police Department for 13 years. He served as an EMT for several years. Shaun worked as IT Director for Dermott Public Schools and for McGehee Hospital for 8 years. He enjoyed fishing and he was a gun enthusiast. Shaun loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of Dermott Church of Christ in Dermott, AR.
Survivors include his sons, Tyler Perry of McGehee, AR and Matthew (Courtney) Shull of Hot Springs, AR; daughter, Samantha (Stephen) Burns of McGehee, AR; brother, Dwane (Molly) Perry of Searcy, AR; grandchildren, Grayson Perry, Millissiee Wilson, Brody Shull and Sadie Shull and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitations will be held at 5:00-7:00pm Friday, November 18, 2022 and 1:00-2:00pm Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service Chapel in McGehee, AR. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday following the visitation at the funeral home with Dwane Perry officiating. Burial will be held at Dermott Cemetery in Dermott, AR.
