Obituary for Thomas "Tommy" Henry Trigg

Thomas Henry Trigg, 70, of Dermott, Arkansas, passed away December 6, 2022. Tommy was born October 24, 1952 in Dermott, Arkansas to the late Forrest Trigg and Violet Mae Hilliard Trigg. He was a graduate of McGehee High School in 1972. Tommy graduated from Henderson State University in 1976. He received his Master’s Degree from the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Tommy was the band director for 38 years at several Arkansas schools. He was currently the band director at McGehee High School for the last six years. Tommy enjoyed hiking, camping, target shooting and reloading ammo. He loved working with the kids at school. Tommy was a member of Bellaire Baptist Church.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lawrence Trigg and Butche Trigg and grandson, Kevin Scucchi. His wife, Janet Duncan Trigg also passed away in the same automobile accident. Survivors include his sons, Bryan (Carolyn) Trigg of Denver, CO and Ray (Jennifer) Scucchi of Delmar, CA; daughters, Amber Joy of Oklahoma City, OK and Aleta Young of Dermott, AR; brother, William “Billy” (Kitten) Trigg of McGehee, AR; sister, Betty Morse of Dermott, AR; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at 5:00-7:00pm Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, December 11, 2022 at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kenny Culpepper officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the McGehee High School Band. Burial will be held at Dermott Cemetery in Dermott, AR. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dermott Cemetery Fund, c/o Sue Jones, P.O. Box 324, Dermott, AR 71638 or your favorite charity.
