Obituary for Carol Lynn Carson
Carol Lynn Carson, of McGehee, Arkansas passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022, at her home in McGehee, Arkansas.
Carol was born October 8, 1946 in Dermott, AR to the late James Monroe Carson and Metreal Louise Smith Carson. She is survived by her son Tim Ellis (Nickole), two beloved granddaughters, Alexandria Carson Ellis and Savannah Marie Ellis, one brother, Jerry Carson (Mary), one sister Joy Whitehead (George) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
She had a successful 35-year career in banking after which time she spent many years in various consulting and accounting roles. She retired in March of 2021 and returned to McGehee where she was active in First Presbyterian Church of McGehee.
Carol was known for her smile, kindness, generosity, work ethic and ability to find humor in all situations. She had friends all over the world and enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. To know her was to love her.
Visitation will be held at 11:00am-12:00noon Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. A graveside memorial service will follow at 12:30pm at McGehee Cemetery in McGehee, AR. In Lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 154, McGehee, AR 71654.
