Betty Jo Coddington Rains, 92, of Halley, AR passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Savannah Grand Facility in West Monroe, LA. Betty was born May 1, 1930 to the late Clarence and Fannie St. John Coddington. Betty loved to travel, read her Bible and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening. Betty was a member of Halley Baptist Church.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Rains and her son Karl Rains.
Survivors include her daughters, Becky (Keith) Roberts of Colleyville, TX, Peggy (Johnny) Johnson of West Monroe, LA and Debra (Gary) Hathorn of Ruston, LA and son Ken Rains of Halley, AR along with six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 3-5pm Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR and 1-2pm Monday, March 20, 2023 at Halley Baptist Church. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm at the church with Rev. James Kendig officiating. Burial will be in Halley cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Roberts, Chris Roberts, Corey Greenwood, Hunter Hathorn, Clint Rains, J. D Cooper, Walter Cooper, and Conner Gossman. Honorary pallbearer will be Charles Mencer.
