Paul “Big Bubba” Wilson, Jr., 61 years old passed away at CHI St. Vincent’s Hospital in North Little Rock, AR on May 12, 2023. Paul made a life in Dermott, AR. He worked for the Department of Corrections for thirty five years and retired at the rank of Sergeant from the Delta Unit in Dermott, AR. Paul was a devoted husband and father. He was married to Melissa “Lisa” Wilson of Boydell, AR for 44 years. He is also survived by two daughters, Sarah Wilson of Dermott, AR and Felicia Taylor and husband Scott Taylor of Star City, AR; four granddaughters, Gracie Taylor, Mattilynn Taylor, Alyssa Norsey and Haven Watson and a host of nieces and nephews.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents Paul Hugo Wilson and Dorothy Thurman Wilson of Dermott, AR. Also preceding him in death were his siblings, Barbara Harris, Rita Johnson, Patricia Henry and James Wilson.
Paul was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed driving 18 wheelers and spending time with his family, friends, and his dog “Little”.
Visitation will be 5-7 pm Monday, May 15, 2023 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at the funeral home chapel.
