Pearl J. West, 87, of Eudora, AR passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016. Pearl was born in Carroll County, MS on March 5, 1929 to the late Archie and Luddie Blount Smith. She loved to work in her yard and her flower garden. Pearl was very outgoing and loved spending time with her family. She was famous for her homemade biscuits. Pearl is loved and will be missed by all.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, James Pennington and David Pennington; grandson, Virgil Pennington, and great-grandson, Justin Blansett. Survivors include her son, Johnny (Ann) Pennington of Eudora, AR; daughter, Frances (Roy) Blansett of Randolph, MS; sister, Elizabeth Taylor of Greenwood, MS; 19 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and numerous great great-grandhildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held at 5-7 pm, Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in Eudora, AR. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Ross Van Ness Community Church in Eudora, AR with Rev. Kenneth Watts officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Eudora, AR.
