Condolence: I just found out and I am so saddened to hear of the loss of one of my Mother figures and a fantastic lady, Ms. Maria Williams.
She was my Dance teacher and Mentor from age 3 on. I even took Aerobics from her in my 20's. My last Dance for her was in the Nutcracker in the late 80's. She chose me to be her student teacher and I was her back stage manager for several recitals in my 20's. It was such a Honor and Pleasure to help her teach the younger children. I have always admired and loved her all these years and during the long hours of rehearsals, that I spent with her taking lessons and teaching. I felt so special when she chose me to do solos too.
She was always so good to me and I tried my hardest to always please her! She taught me so much and I will always appreciate and admire her.
She was so beautiful, graceful, sweet, caring, stern and disciplined, organized, such an awesome teacher and dancer, and such a great Christian lady! We went to the same United Methodist Church in McGehee too.
She always spoke so eloquently too with her gorgeous accent!
I always missed her after moving out West for so many years and I have never stopped thinking and missing her. She has such a special place in my heart.
I have and will always love her and her family, who are very special too. My Thoughts and Prayers for her Family and Friends. I am so sorry for their loss. Love you Wanda Miles and Family.
RIP Ms. Maria Williams.
God Rest Your Soul.

Condolence: For all of us who grew up in McGehee during the 50's and 60's, Mrs. Williams and her family were special to us. Whether you were a dance student or not, we all loved her recitals, her smile, her German accent and the part she played either directly or indirectly in our lives. We loved to see her students, our friends, dance and they loved to dance for us! To all of her children, I know she has been ill for a long time and I'm so thankful her suffering is over. Please know that so many have fond memories of her and all of you. God bless her and each of you.

Condolence: I cannot begin to say how much Maria Williams meant to me. She brought so much life and culture to McGehee and the surrounding area. She and Sidney filled my heart with love. She taught my girls from the time they were 3 until she retired. I can still hear her wonderful voice telling them "pretty hands" or using the word derrière. I was so blessed with working with Ms Maria and Wanda on the backdrops for "de poffinfe", and the Nut Cracker, and other dance endeavors.
She is dancing in the stars above- I will look to the heavens for a sign.
My heart is with the family. Prayers and God bless.
One more reason to look forward to heaven. Heaven gained a wonderful Christain. Love to Wanda , her brothers and all of the family.

Condolence: I am so sorry of hear about Mrs. Williams. She was the one who opened my love for dancing. Three times a week at my tap dancing class, I often share with the members memories of how much fun I had as a student in Maria's class. What a wonderful gift she gave to all her students.
May your memories give you peace and comfort. May God embrace your family.

Condolence: Maria Williams placed in me my first love of ballet. I worshiped the ground she walked on while being taught by her. Because of her, I was able to dance with Ballet ARKANSAS then teach ballet for 27 years. My heart breaks for her family but rejoices because of God's promise to us of a new life with Him for eternity. May God comfort you all during this time. I am so thankful God placed her in my life!
